mwifiex: fix Tx timeout issue
https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=70191
https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=77581
It is observed that sometimes Tx packet is downloaded without
adding driver's txpd header. This results in firmware parsing
garbage data as packet length. Sometimes firmware is unable
to read the packet if length comes out as invalid. This stops
further traffic and timeout occurs.
The root cause is uninitialized fields in tx_info(skb->cb) of
packet used to get garbage values. In this case if
MWIFIEX_BUF_FLAG_REQUEUED_PKT flag is mistakenly set, txpd
header was skipped. This patch makes sure that tx_info is
correctly initialized to fix the problem.

Bluetooth: Fix for ACL disconnect when pairing fails
When pairing fails hci_conn refcnt drops below zero. This cause that
ACL link is not disconnected when disconnect timeout fires.
Probably this is because l2cap_conn_del calls l2cap_chan_del for each
channel, and inside l2cap_chan_del conn is dropped. After that loop
hci_chan_del is called which also drops conn.
Anyway, as it is desrcibed in hci_core.h, it is known that refcnt
drops below 0 sometimes and it should be fine. If so, let disconnect
link when hci_conn_timeout fires and refcnt is 0 or below. This patch
does it.

Bluetooth: Fix rejecting pairing in case of insufficient capabilities
If we need an MITM protected connection but the local and remote IO
capabilities cannot provide it we should reject the pairing attempt in
the appropriate way. This patch adds the missing checks for such a
situation to the smp_cmd_pairing_req() and smp_cmd_pairing_rsp()

Bluetooth: Fix overriding higher security level in SMP
When we receive a pairing request or an internal request to start

than the old.

This reverts commit
ca58e594da2486c1d28e7ad547d82266604ec4ce.
For some unclear reason this patch tries to add suport for the
product ID 0xe005, but it ends up adding product ID 0x3005 to
all the tables. This is obviously wrong and causing multiple
issues.
The original patch seemed to be fine, but what ended up in 3.15
is not what the patch intended. The commit
0a3658cccdf53 is
already present and adds support for this hardware. This means
only revert of this broken commit is requird.

rt2x00: fix rfkill regression on rt2500pci
As reported by Niels, starting rfkill polling during device probe
(commit
e2bc7c5, generally sane change) broke rfkill on rt2500pci
device. I considered that bug as some initalization issue, which
should be fixed on rt2500pci specific code. But after several
attempts (see bug report for details) we fail to find working solution.
Hence I decided to revert to old behaviour on rt2500pci to fix
regression.
Additionally patch also unregister rfkill on device remove instead
of ifconfig down, what was another issue introduced by bad commit.

Support for firmware rev 508+ was added years ago, but we never noticed
it reports channel in a different way for G-PHY devices. Instead of

So far it was (most probably) affecting monitor mode users only, but
the following recent commit made it noticeable for quite everybody:

The device 057c:8501 (AVM Fritz! WLAN v2 rev. B) currently does not

mwifiex: fix tx_info/rx_info overlap with PCIe dma_mapping
On PCIe Tx data path, network interface specific tx_info
parameters such as bss_num and bss_type are saved at
"skb->cb + sizeof(dma_addr_t)" (returned by MWIFIEX_SKB_TXCB).
Later mwifiex_map_pci_memory() called from
mwifiex_pcie_send_data() will memcpy
sizeof(struct mwifiex_dma_mapping) bytes to save PCIe DMA
address and length information at beginning of skb->cb.
This accidently overwrites bss_num and bss_type saved in skb->cb
previously because bss_num/bss_type and mwifiex_dma_mapping data
overlap.
Similarly, on PCIe Rx data path, rx_info parameters overlaps
with PCIe DMA address and length information too.
Fix it by defining mwifiex_cb structure and having
MWIFIEX_SKB_TXCB and MWIFIEX_SKB_RXCB return the correct address
of tx_info/rx_info using the structure members.
Also add a BUILD_BUG_ON to maks sure that mwifiex_cb structure
doesn't exceed the size of skb->cb.

net: sctp: fix permissions for rto_alpha and rto_beta knobs
Commit
3fd091e73b81 ("[SCTP]: Remove multiple levels of msecs
to jiffies conversions.") has silently changed permissions for
rto_alpha and rto_beta knobs from 0644 to 0444. The purpose of
this was to discourage users from tweaking rto_alpha and
rto_beta knobs in production environments since they are key
to correctly compute rtt/srtt.
RFC4960 under section 6.3.1. RTO Calculation says regarding
rto_alpha and rto_beta under rule C3 and C4:
[...]
C3) When a new RTT measurement R' is made, set
RTTVAR <- (1 - RTO.Beta) * RTTVAR + RTO.Beta * |SRTT - R'|
and
SRTT <- (1 - RTO.Alpha) * SRTT + RTO.Alpha * R'
Note: The value of SRTT used in the update to RTTVAR
is its value before updating SRTT itself using the
second assignment. After the computation, update
RTO <- SRTT + 4 * RTTVAR.
C4) When data is in flight and when allowed by rule C5
below, a new RTT measurement MUST be made each round
trip. Furthermore, new RTT measurements SHOULD be
made no more than once per round trip for a given
destination transport address. There are two reasons
for this recommendation: First, it appears that
measuring more frequently often does not in practice
yield any significant benefit [ALLMAN99]; second,
if measurements are made more often, then the values
of RTO.Alpha and RTO.Beta in rule C3 above should be
adjusted so that SRTT and RTTVAR still adjust to
changes at roughly the same rate (in terms of how many
round trips it takes them to reflect new values) as
they would if making only one measurement per
round-trip and using RTO.Alpha and RTO.Beta as given
in rule C3. However, the exact nature of these
adjustments remains a research issue.
[...]
While it is discouraged to adjust rto_alpha and rto_beta
and not further specified how to adjust them, the RFC also
doesn't explicitly forbid it, but rather gives a RECOMMENDED
default value (rto_alpha=3, rto_beta=2). We have a couple
of users relying on the old permissions before they got
changed. That said, if someone really has the urge to adjust
them, we could allow it with a warning in the log.

Geert reported issues regarding checksum complete and UDP.
The logic introduced in commit
7e3cead5172927732f51fde
("net: Save software checksum complete") is not correct.
This patch:
1) Restores code in __skb_checksum_complete_header except for setting
CHECKSUM_UNNECESSARY. This function may be calculating checksum on
something less than skb->len.
2) Adds saving checksum to __skb_checksum_complete. The full packet
checksum 0..skb->len is calculated without adding in pseudo header.
This value is saved in skb->csum and then the pseudo header is added
to that to derive the checksum for validation.
3) In both __skb_checksum_complete_header and __skb_checksum_complete,
set skb->csum_valid to whether checksum of zero was computed. This
allows skb_csum_unnecessary to return true without changing to
CHECKSUM_UNNECESSARY which was done previously.

fix __swap_writepage() compile failure on old gcc versions

Let's do this instead: there is only one place in the entire tree that
steps into this breakage. Anon structs and unions work in older gcc
versions; as the matter of fact, we have those in the tree - see e.g.
struct ieee80211_tx_info in include/net/mac80211.h
What doesn't work is handling their initializers:
struct {
int a;
union {
int b;
char c;
};
} x[2] = {{.a = 1, .c = 'a'}, {.a = 0, .b = 1}};
is the obvious syntax for initializer, perfectly fine for C11 and
handled correctly by gcc-4.7 or later.
Earlier versions, though, break on it - declaration is fine and so's
access to fields (i.e. x[0].c = 'a'; would produce the right code), but
members of the anon structs and unions are not inserted into the right
namespace. Tellingly, those older versions will not barf on struct {int
a; struct {int a;};}; - looks like they just have it hacked up somewhere
around the handling of . and -> instead of doing the right thing.
The easiest way to deal with that crap is to turn initialization of
those fields (in the only place where we have such initializer of
iov_iter) into plain assignment.

This is because readahead would skip missing device, this is not true

Bluetooth: Fix deadlock in l2cap_conn_del()
A deadlock occurs when PDU containing invalid SMP opcode is received on
Security Manager Channel over LE link and conn->pending_rx_work worker
has not run yet.
When LE link is created l2cap_conn_ready() is called and before
returning it schedules conn->pending_rx_work worker to hdev->workqueue.
Incoming data to SMP fixed channel is handled by l2cap_recv_frame()
which calls smp_sig_channel() to handle the SMP PDU. If
smp_sig_channel() indicates failure l2cap_conn_del() is called to delete
the connection. When deleting the connection, l2cap_conn_del() purges
the pending_rx queue and calls flush_work() to wait for the
pending_rx_work worker to complete.
Since incoming data is handled by a worker running from the same
workqueue as the pending_rx_work is being scheduled on, we will deadlock
on waiting for pending_rx_work to complete.
This patch fixes the deadlock by calling cancel_work_sync() instead of
flush_work().

set whenever we respond to a link key request as well as when we get a

enabled: getting a link key request and responding to it may only mean

x86/vdso: Hack to keep 64-bit Go programs working
The Go runtime has a buggy vDSO parser that currently segfaults.
This writes an empty SHT_DYNSYM entry that causes Go's runtime to
malfunction by thinking that the vDSO is empty rather than
malfunctioning by running off the end and segfaulting.
This affects x86-64 only as far as we know, so we do not need this for
the i386 and x32 vdsos.
