This patch refactors the code of the reset feature in HCLGE layer
of HNS3 PF driver. Prime motivation to do this change is:
1. To reduce the time for which common miscellaneous Vector 0
interrupt is disabled because of the reset. Simplification
of the common miscellaneous interrupt handler routine(for
Vector 0) used to handle reset and other sources of Vector
0 interrupt.
2. Separate the task for handling the reset
3. Simplification of reset request submission and pending reset
logic.
To achieve above below few things have been done:
1. Interrupt is disabled while common miscellaneous interrupt
handler is entered and re-enabled before it is exit. This
reduces the interrupt handling latency as compared to older
interrupt handling scheme where interrupt was being disabled
in interrupt handler context and re-enabled in task context
some time later. Made Miscellaneous interrupt handler more
generic to handle all sources including reset interrupt source.
2. New reset service task has been introduced to service the
reset handling.
3. Introduces new reset service task for honoring software reset
requests like from network stack related to timeout and serving
the pending reset request(to reset the driver and associated
clients).

In exisiting code, the way to detect if driver/client reset should
be executed or if hardware should be be soft resetted was overly
complex.
Existing code use to read the interrupt status register from task
context to figure out if the interrupt source event was reset and
then use clear the interrupt source for reset while waiting for the
hardware to finish the reset. This behaviour again was confusing
and overly complex in terms of the flow.
This patch simplifies the handling of the requested reset and the
pending reset(i.e. reset which have already been asserted by the
software and hardware has acknowledged back to driver that it is
processing the hardware reset through interrupt)

net: hns3: Add reset service task for handling reset requests
Existing common service task was being used to service the reset
requests. This patch tries to make the handling of reset cleaner
by separating task to handle the reset requests. This might in
turn help in adapting similar handling approach for other
interrupt events like mailbox, sharing vector 0 interrupt.

net: hns3: Refactor of the reset interrupt handling logic
The reset interrupt event shares common miscellaneous interrupt
Vector 0. In the existing reset interrupt handling we disable
the Vector 0 interrupt in misc interrupt handler and re-enable
them later in context to common service task.
This also means other event sources like mailbox would also be
deferred or if the interrupt event was due to mailbox(which shall
be supported for VF soon), it could delay the reset handling.
This patch reorganizes the reset interrupt handling logic and
makes it more fair to other events.

This series, which follows on from the fixes posted earlier, improves
the phylink/sfp support. Changes included here are:
- Merge 802.3z and SGMII modes into one "in-band" mode, using the
PHY_INTERFACE_MODE_xxx definition to determine which should be used.
This allows more flexibility as more interface modes become
available.
- Allow 2500base-X and 10GBASE-KR to be requested from SFP.
- Remove unused and unnecessary phylink_init_eee()
- Restart 802.3z autonegotiation when starting the network device to
ensure that the negotiated parameters are always correct. It has
been observed on mvneta that this is not always the case without
this change.
- Add kerneldoc documentation for phylink and sfp upstream facing APIs
and link it in to the networking documentation.
- Resolve a sparse warning in sfp-bus.c
- Convert phylink/sfp to use fwnode rather than DT so that other firmware
systems can take advantage of this - I have received a request for it
to be usable with ACPI. The exception to this is our interactions with
phylib, as phylib itself does not yet support fwnode.

phylink: merge SGMII and 802.3z handling
The code handling SGMII and 802.3z is essentially the same, except that
we assume 802.3z has no PHY. Re-organise the code such that these cases
are merged, and exclude 802.3z mode from having a PHY attached. This
results in the same link handling behaviour as before.

arch/tile: mark as orphaned
The chip family of TILEPro and TILE-Gx was developed by Tilera, which
was eventually acquired by Mellanox. The tile architecture was added to
the kernel in 2010 and first appeared in 2.6.36.
Now at Mellanox we are developing new chips based on the ARM64
architecture; our last TILE-Gx chip (the Gx72) was released in 2013, and
our customers using tile architecture products are not, as far as we
know, looking to upgrade to newer kernel releases. In the absence of
someone in the community stepping up to take over maintainership, this
commit marks the architecture as orphaned.

1) it not in fact a refcount, so using refcount_t is silly
2) there is a distinct lack of memory barriers, so we can easily
observe the decrement while the msg_handler is still in progress.
3) waiting with a schedule()/yield() loop is complete crap and subject
life-locks, imagine doing that rtnl_unregister_all() from a RT task.
In ancient times rtnetlink exposed a statically-sized table with
preset doit/dumpit handlers to be called for a protocol/type pair.
Later the rtnl_register interface was added and the table was allocated
on demand. Eventually these were also used by modules.
Problem is that nothing prevents module unload while a netlink dump
is in progress. netlink dumps can be span multiple recv calls and
netlink core saves the to-be-repeated dumper address for later invocation.
To prevent rmmod the netlink core expects callers to pass in the owning
module so a reference can be taken.
So far rtnetlink wasn't doing this, add new interface to pass THIS_MODULE.
Moreover, when converting parts of the rtnetlink handling to rcu this code
gained way too many READ_ONCE spots, remove them and the extra refcounting.
Take a module reference when running dumpit and doit callbacks
and never alter content of rtnl_link structures after they have been
published via rcu_assign_pointer.

Add yet another rtnl_register function. It will be used by modules
that can be removed.
The passed module struct is used to prevent module unload while
a netlink dump is in progress or when a DOIT_UNLOCKED doit callback
is called.

net: rtnetlink: use rcu to free rtnl message handlers
rtnetlink is littered with READ_ONCE() because we can have read accesses
while another cpu can write to the structure we're reading by
(un)registering doit or dumpit handlers.
This patch changes this so that (un)registering cpu allocates a new
structure and then publishes it via rcu_assign_pointer, i.e. once
another cpu can see such pointer no modifications will occur anymore.

net: phy: core: don't disable device interrupts in phy_change
If state is not PHY_HALTED I see no need to temporarily disable
interrupts on the device. As long as the current interrupt isn't acked
on the device no new interrupt can happen anyway.
In addition remove a unneeded enabling of interrupts in the state
machine when handling state PHY_CHANGELINK.
Tested on a Odroid-C2 with RTL8211F phy in interrupt mode.

net: phy: core: remove now uneeded disabling of interrupts
After commits
c974bdbc3e "net: phy: Use threaded IRQ, to allow IRQ from
sleeping devices" and
664fcf123a30 "net: phy: Threaded interrupts allow
some simplification" all relevant code pieces run in process context
anyway and I don't think we need the disabling of interrupts any longer.
Interestingly enough, latter commit already removed the comment
explaining why interrupts need to be temporarily disabled.
On my system phy interrupt mode works fine with this patch.
However I may miss something, especially in the context of shared phy
interrupts, therefore I'd appreciate if more people could test this.

We believe this commit is fine, but exposes an older bug.
SELinux code runs from tcp_filter() and might send an ICMP,
expecting IP options to be found in skb->cb[] using regular IPCB placement.
We need to defer TCP mangling of skb->cb[] after tcp_filter() calls.
This patch adds tcp_v4_fill_cb()/tcp_v4_restore_cb() in a very
similar way we added them for IPv6.

inet: Add a 2nd listener hashtable (port+addr)
The current listener hashtable is hashed by port only.
When a process is listening at many IP addresses with the same port (e.g.
[IP1]:443, [IP2]:443... [IPN]:443), the inet[6]_lookup_listener()
performance is degraded to a link list. It is prone to syn attack.
UDP had a similar issue and a second hashtable was added to resolve it.
This patch adds a second hashtable for the listener's sockets.
The second hashtable is hashed by port and address.
It cannot reuse the existing skc_portaddr_node which is shared
with skc_bind_node. TCP listener needs to use skc_bind_node.
Instead, this patch adds a hlist_node 'icsk_listen_portaddr_node' to
the inet_connection_sock which the listener (like TCP) also belongs to.
The new portaddr hashtable may need two lookup (First by IP:PORT.
Second by INADDR_ANY:PORT if the IP:PORT is a not found). Hence,
it implements a similar cut off as UDP such that it will only consult the
new portaddr hashtable if the current port-only hashtable has >10
sk in the link-list.
lhash2 and lhash2_mask are added to 'struct inet_hashinfo'. I take
this chance to plug a 4 bytes hole. It is done by first moving
the existing bind_bucket_cachep up and then add the new
(int lhash2_mask, *lhash2) after the existing bhash_size.

This patch moves the udp[46]_portaddr_hash()
to net/ip[v6].h. The function name is renamed to

hv_netvsc: optimize initialization of RNDIS header
The memset of the whole maximum possible RNDIS header is unnecessary.
For the main part of the header use a structure assignment.
No need to memset the whole per packet info. Instead rely on caller to
set what it wants. Also get rid of cast to void and signed/unsigned
conversion. Now return pointer to per packet data (rather than the
header) which simplifies use by code setting up the packet data.

hv_netvsc: use reciprocal divide to speed up percent calculation
Every packet sent checks the available ring space. The calculation
can be sped up by using reciprocal divide which is multiplication.
Since ring_size can only be configured by module parameter, so it doesn't
have to be passed around everywhere. Also it should be unsigned
since it is number of pages.

rxrpc: Use correct netns source in rxrpc_release_sock()
In rxrpc_release_sock() there may be no rx->local value to access, so we
can't unconditionally follow it to the rxrpc network namespace information
to poke the connection reapers.
Instead, use the socket's namespace pointer to find the namespace.
This unfixed code causes the following static checker warning:

stmmac: reset last TSO segment size after device open
The mss variable tracks the last max segment size sent to the TSO
engine. We do not update the hardware as long as we receive skb:s with
the same value in gso_size.
During a network device down/up cycle (mapped to stmmac_release() and
stmmac_open() callbacks) we issue a reset to the hardware and it
forgets the setting for mss. However we did not zero out our mss
variable so the next transmission of a gso packet happens with an
undefined hardware setting.
This triggers a hang in the TSO engine and eventuelly the netdev
watchdog will bark.

Realtek Ethernet PHY driver improvements
This series provides some small improvements and cleanups for the
Realtek Ethernet PHY driver.
None of the patches in this series should change any functionality.
The goal is to make the code a bit easier to read by:
- re-using the BIT and GENMASK macros (which makes it easier to compare
the #defines in the kernel with the values from the datasheets)
- rename a #define from a generic name to a PHY-specific name since it's
only used for one specific PHY
- logically group the register #defines and their register bit #defines
together
- indentation cleanups
- removed some code duplicating for reading/writing registers on a
Realtek specific "page"

net: phy: realtek: add utility functions to read/write page addresses
Realtek PHYs implement the concept of so-called "extension pages". The
reason for this is probably because these PHYs expose more registers
than available in the standard address range.
After all read/write operations on such a page are done the driver
should switch back to page 0 where the standard MII registers (such as
MII_BMCR) are available.
When referring to such a register the datasheets of RTL8211E and
RTL8211F always specify:
- the page / "ext. page" which has to be written to RTL821x_PAGE_SELECT
- an address (sometimes also called reg)
These new utility functions make the existing code easier to read since
it removes some duplication (switching back to page 0 is done within the
new helpers for example).
No functional changes are intended.

s390/qeth: build max size GSO skbs on L2 devices
The current GSO skb size limit was copy&pasted over from the L3 path,
where it is needed due to a TSO limitation.
As L2 devices don't offer TSO support (and thus all GSO skbs are
segmented before they reach the driver), there's no reason to restrict
the stack in how large it may build the GSO skbs.

s390/qeth: fix GSO throughput regression
Using GSO with small MTUs currently results in a substantial throughput
regression - which is caused by how qeth needs to map non-linear skbs
into its IO buffer elements:
compared to a linear skb, each GSO-segmented skb effectively consumes
twice as many buffer elements (ie two instead of one) due to the
additional header-only part. This causes the Output Queue to be
congested with low-utilized IO buffers.
Fix this as follows:
If the MSS is low enough so that a non-SG GSO segmentation produces
order-0 skbs (currently ~3500 byte), opt out from NETIF_F_SG. This is
where we anticipate the biggest savings, since an SG-enabled
GSO segmentation produces skbs that always consume at least two
buffer elements.
Larger MSS values continue to get a SG-enabled GSO segmentation, since
1) the relative overhead of the additional header-only buffer element
becomes less noticeable, and
2) the linearization overhead increases.
With the throughput regression fixed, re-enable NETIF_F_SG by default to
reap the significant CPU savings of GSO.

s390/qeth: fix thinko in IPv4 multicast address tracking
Commit
5f78e29ceebf ("qeth: optimize IP handling in rx_mode callback")
reworked how secondary addresses are managed for qeth devices.
Instead of dropping & subsequently re-adding all addresses on every
ndo_set_rx_mode() call, qeth now keeps track of the addresses that are
currently registered with the HW.
On a ndo_set_rx_mode(), we thus only need to do (de-)registration
requests for the addresses that have actually changed.
On L3 devices, the lookup for IPv4 Multicast addresses checks the wrong
hashtable - and thus never finds a match. As a result, we first delete
*all* such addresses, and then re-add them again. So each set_rx_mode()
causes a short period where the IPv4 Multicast addresses are not
registered, and the card stops forwarding inbound traffic for them.
Fix this by setting the ->is_multicast flag on the lookup object, thus
enabling qeth_l3_ip_from_hash() to search the correct hashtable and
find a match there.

Eventually we figured out that it was a skb leak in handle_rx()
when sending packets to the VM. This usually happens when a guest
can not drain out vq as fast as vhost fills in, afterwards it sets
off the traffic jam and leaks skb(s) which occurs as no headcount
to send on the vq from vhost side.
This can be avoided by making sure we have got enough headcount
before actually consuming a skb from the batched rx array while
transmitting, which is simply done by moving checking the zero
headcount a bit ahead.

bnxt_en: fix dst/src fid for vxlan encap/decap actions
For flows that involve a vxlan encap action, the vxlan sock
interface may be specified as the outgoing interface. The driver
must resolve the outgoing PF interface used by this socket and
use the dst_fid of the PF in the hwrm_cfa_encap_record_alloc cmd.
Similarily for flows that have a vxlan decap action, the
fid of the incoming PF interface must be used as the src_fid in
the hwrm_cfa_decap_filter_alloc cmd.

bnxt_en: Need to unconditionally shut down RoCE in bnxt_shutdown
The current 'bnxt_shutdown' implementation only invokes
'bnxt_ulp_shutdown' to shut down RoCE in the case when the system is in
the path of power off (SYSTEM_POWER_OFF). While this may work in most
cases, it does not work in the smart NIC case, when Linux 'reboot'
command is initiated from the Linux that runs on the ARM cores of the
NIC card. In this particular case, Linux 'reboot' results in a system
'L3' level reset where the entire ARM and associated subsystems are
being reset, but at the same time, Nitro core is being kept in sane state
(to allow external PCIe connected servers to continue to work). Without
properly shutting down RoCE and freeing all associated resources, it
results in the ARM core to hang immediately after the 'reboot'
By always invoking 'bnxt_ulp_shutdown' in 'bnxt_shutdown', it fixes the
above issue

One current issue with DSA is cross-chip FDB. If we add a static MAC
address on lan3, only its parent switch 1 (the one in the middle) will
be programmed. That is not correct in a cross-chip environment, because
the DSA ports connecting to switch 1 of adjacent switch 0 (on the left)
and switch 2 (on the right) must be programmed too.
Without this patchset, a dump of the hardware FDB of switches 0, 1 and 2
after programming a MAC address on lan3 looks like this (*):

In order to do that, the first commit introduces a dsa_towards_port()
helper which returns the local port of a switch which must be used to
reach an arbitrary switch port (local or from an adjacent switch.)
The second patch uses this helper to configure the port reaching the
target port for every switches of the fabric.

When a MAC address is added to or removed from a switch port in the
fabric, the target switch must program its port and adjacent switches
must program their local DSA port used to reach the target switch.
For this purpose, use the dsa_towards_port() helper to identify the
local switch port which must be programmed.

net: dsa: introduce dsa_towards_port helper
Add a new helper returning the local port used to reach an arbitrary
switch port in the fabric.
Its only user at the moment is the dsa_upstream_port helper, which
returns the local port reaching the dedicated CPU port, but it will be
used in cross-chip FDB operations.

openvswitch: do not propagate headroom updates to internal port
After commit
3a927bc7cf9d ("ovs: propagate per dp max headroom to
all vports") the need_headroom for the internal vport is updated
accordingly to the max needed headroom in its datapath.
That avoids the pskb_expand_head() costs when sending/forwarding
packets towards tunnel devices, at least for some scenarios.
We still require such copy when using the ovs-preferred configuration
for vxlan tunnels:

where the route towards the IP 'X' is via 'br_phy'.
When forwarding traffic from the tap towards the vxlan device, we
will call pskb_expand_head() in vxlan_build_skb() because
br-phy->needed_headroom is equal to tun->needed_headroom.
With this change we avoid updating the internal vport needed_headroom,
so that in the above scenario no head copy is needed, giving 5%
performance improvement in UDP throughput test.
As a trade-off, packets sent from the internal port towards a tunnel
device will now experience the head copy overhead. The rationale is
that the latter use-case is less relevant performance-wise.

arcane rules and assumptions more clear.
The series starts with 3 patches aiming to make XDP handling in the
drivers less error prone. Currently driver authors have to remember
to free XDP programs if XDP is active during unregister. With this
series the core will disable XDP on its own. It will take place
after close, drivers are not expected to perform reconfiguration
when disabling XDP on a downed device.
Next two patches add the software netdev driver, followed by a python
test which exercises all the corner cases which came to my mind.
Test needs to be run as root. It will print basic information to
stdout, but can also create a more detailed log of all commands
when --log option is passed. Log is in Emacs Org-mode format.

netdevsim: add SR-IOV functionality
dummy driver was extended with VF-related netdev APIs for testing
SR-IOV-related software. netdevsim did not exist back then.
Implement SR-IOV functionality in netdevsim. Notable difference
is that since netdevsim has no module parameters, we will actually
create a device with sriov_numvfs attribute for each netdev.
The zero MAC address is accepted as some HW use it to mean any
address is allowed. Link state is also now validated.

selftests/bpf: add offload test based on netdevsim
Add a test of BPF offload control path interfaces based on
just-added netdevsim driver. Perform various checks of both
the stack and the expected driver behaviour.

netdevsim: add bpf offload support
Add support for loading programs for netdevsim devices and
expose the related information via DebugFS. Both offload
of XDP and cls_bpf programs is supported.

netdevsim: add software driver for testing offloads
To be able to run selftests without any hardware required we
need a software model. The model can also serve as an example
implementation for those implementing actual HW offloads.
The dummy driver have previously been extended to test SR-IOV,
but the general consensus seems to be against adding further
features to it.
Add a new driver for purposes of software modelling only.
eBPF and SR-IOV will be added here shortly, others are invited
to further extend the driver with their offload models.
